Within the last semester of my degree, I created a speculative editorial Illustration about beachcombing and peacefulness being by the sea which features in my chosen article ‘Slow By the Sea’ by Wendy Pratt (Breathe Magazine, 18th May 2020 - https://breathemagazine.com.au/escaping/slow-by-the-sea/ ).

This was a project inspired by a mid-term trip to Felixstowe beach and pier where I was captivated by the feeling of slowing down amidst stressful everyday life, with nature able to provide this escape.
I painted the sea scape using gouache and water soluble crayons, adding the figure and fine details digitally.
